Or, no, it’s not really, I still have stuff to pack in the morning but shut up.
Packing for 19 days is a lot. It is made better by having an entire car you can pack, rather than trying to make it in one bag. For example, I am taking one whole box of running stuff, shoes, socks, shirts, the whole thing. If I were flying, I would ditch the whole box. I just wouldn’t plan on running!
(One second, I just remembered I wanted to take a flashlight. Okay, packed. Where were we? Oh, right, the ridiculousness of overpacking because I’m taking my car.)
I have a box of… shoes. It’s a shoe box. I have my brown everyday boots (I’m wearing my adidas to drive), running shoes, shoes for my costume, and hiking boots. And I dumped a bunch of cold weather stuff on top of that. I have a box of miscellaneous and car and stuff. Includes jumper cables and also a sleeping bag. And two rolls of toilet paper. And, now, a flashlight.
You know how instructions for packing light tell you to get out what you want to pack, then leave half of it? This is the opposite. This is get out what you want to bring, then add more stuff for one final half hour frenzy.
And I am not, thankfully, transporting a box of rocks. This time.
I’m planning to listen to audiobooks some of the way, but I am bringing three physical books:

I hope to finish one, make progress on the second, and start skimming the third.
I’ll try to take a picture of the trunk before Doomsie and I head out of town.
First stop will be Denver.
